What You'll Find at the PL Field Guide to Alternative Community

Three quite different resources can be accessed from this frameset. 

  • The first resource is the Progressive Living blog/discussion forum.  This is your resource for interacting with other PL readers online, and the place to catch commentary on the news of the day from one of our editors.  We've tried several different formats for this resource, and the newest is now (Winter, 2005) available.
  • The second resource will help you locate the most progressive city in each state of the United States and in each province of Canada.
  • The third resource provides information about the creation of such forms of alternative community as cohousing or the ecovillage.  (See the links at the left for definitions of these terms.)
